How does mergd remove duplicates from a list?
It loads your lists in the browser, normalises spacing and letter case, removes exact duplicates and then flags near matches such as slightly different spellings of the same name. You review the candidates, merge them, and export the result as CSV or text. The parsing, matching and merging all run on your own device, not on a server.
Does mergd upload my data and how many rows can it handle?
The free tier handles up to 5,000 rows per file and the main work happens in your browser. The one exception is optional: if you press the AI check button, only the ambiguous pairs are sent for a same or different verdict, up to 200 pairs per call. Those pairs are not stored and their contents are never logged.
How do I merge two CSV files and dedupe them?
Add both files or paste both lists, and the tool combines them into one set. Exact duplicates are removed automatically. Near matches are shown as pairs so you can decide which ones are really the same entry. When the list looks right, export it as a CSV or a plain text file. There is no account to create.
